Czech artist Jan Kalab recently spent couple of days in Sete, France, taking part in the local K-Live festival there. For this event he introduced some of his recent abstract concepts, based on circular shapes.
After years of being active graffiti writer, Jan Kalab has been focused on fine art and non-representational work in the recent years. Moving from lettering to abstraction, he is currently working on works that are based on most basic geo shapes such as circles and squares. Mixing years of graffiti painting experience along with new aesthetics he is working with, he painted this striking mural that is juxtaposing against it's surrounding. Both with unusual colors as well as organic looking shapes, Kalab created an abstract view "inside" of the building he was working on.
