Captain Kris & SiMitchell create a mural in London to celebrate the launch of the Mountain Dew Bootcamp coming to the UK
The Dew Mural, created by Captain Kris and SiMitchell was just completed on the streets of trendy East London to celebrate the launch of the Mountain Dew Bootcamp coming to the UK.
The UK’s first ever Dew Tour Bootcamp took place last Saturday at the iconic skate park, Radlands Plaza, in Northampton - known as the birthplace of skate culture due to Radlands being the first skate park to open in the UK in 1994.
Competition was fierce, with skaters battling it out at the park to win the coveted first prize – a place at the Dew Tour Am Series at the iconic Museumplein in Amsterdam and a VIP skate trip to Los Angeles to meet and skate with the pros from the Dew team.
Chris Oliver won first place and will travel to Amsterdam later this year, with Chris competing in the Dew Tour Am Series on August 30 at the iconic Museumplein.
For more information, check the Facebook page to and follow the conversation on Twitter with #DewTourBootcamp.
It took about two days for the British duo to wrap up this piece located near Shoreditch High Street on Great Eastern Street. If you are stopping by Shoreditch soon, the mural can now be seen until Sunday 19 July,
Consisting of 4 panels, each 4.3m wide by 2.8m tall, the overall mural is approximately 18.5 metres wide and 3 metres tall.
The mural perfectly captures the artists’ style – electric greens of all shades, exaggerated features and weird and wonderful creatures…truly idiosyncratic and eye-catching to boot!

However, graffiti outside of the red area would be removed via pressure washing. This prompted the start of an experiment. Unlike other works, I was very uncertain as to what results it would yield. Here is what transpired over the course of a year. --Mobstr
