2501 & Speto collaborate on a mural in Sao Paulo, Brazil
As part of the O.Bra Festival which took place a few days ago on the streets of Sao Paulo, 2501 and Speto were invited to create a large mural featuring each artist's style and imagery.
After a few days of work, the newly formed duo created this large scale rendition of a monochrome Phoenix. In Greek mythology, a phoenix is a long-lived bird that is cyclically regenerated or reborn. Associated with the sun, a phoenix obtains new life by arising from the ashes of its predecessor. According to some sources, the phoenix dies in a show of flames and combustion, although there are other sources that claim that the legendary bird dies and simply decomposes before being born again.

2501's murals project in Los Angeles, California
Our friend 2501 spent a few weeks in sunny Los Angeles where he was invited by the good lads from Do Art Foundation to work on a series of new pieces.
Geared with a myriad of brushes and black ink, the talented Italian artist created a series of signature pieces which are featuring his unique line-based imagery.
The first piece depicts the metamorphosis of the world, the evolution from the micro-organism to the human. The second piece is related to the Bible's trinity with its juxtaposition taking into account Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco as the big three.

"Half Way Out", a new mural by 2501 in Manhattan
Our buddy 2501 is currently in North America where he was invited for to paint a piece for the "Not A Crime" Campaign.
The Milan-based street artist was given the opportunity to work on a super big wall in the heart of Manhattan. The result is as usual with 2501, beautiful and features some of his signature line-based imagery. The piece is entitled "Half Way Out".

2501 creates a new mural in Detroit, Michigan
2501 recently ventured to the streets of Detroit in Michigan where he created yet another giant street piece.
Entitled "Almost Empty", the Italian artist created several abstract shapes which are featuring his unique wavy-line technique and imagery. This piece was made possible with the help of our friends from 1XRUN.

2501 creates a massive piece in Rome for his solo show at Wunderkammern Gallery
The district of Pigneto in Rome is proud to welcome a beautiful new addition to its landscape with this stunning piece by 2501.
It took about a week for the Italian artist to create this gigantic artwork which is featuring some of his signature line-based imagery. With this artwork, 2501 wanted to talk about the intersection between the old and the new type of architectures found on the streets of Rome.
For all our readers living in Rome, his exhibition "Nomadic Experiment" will be opening on July 9th at Wunderkammern Gallery @ via Gabrio Serbelloni 124, Roma. Don't miss it!
