2501's murals project in Los Angeles, California
Our friend 2501 spent a few weeks in sunny Los Angeles where he was invited by the good lads from Do Art Foundation to work on a series of new pieces.
Geared with a myriad of brushes and black ink, the talented Italian artist created a series of signature pieces which are featuring his unique line-based imagery.
The first piece depicts the metamorphosis of the world, the evolution from the micro-organism to the human. The second piece is related to the Bible's trinity with its juxtaposition taking into account Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco as the big three.

Saber & Zes collaborate on a mural in Los Angeles
The "Arts District" in Downtown Los Angeles is slowly becoming an epicenter for the arts and art commerce. Unfortunately it also means the people who helped build this culture are being pushed out, including the legacy of graffiti that was painted for over twenty years. "We were painting this neighborhood before it was even coined the Arts District".
This brilliant mural Saber and Zes have painted is a gesture towards this long term legacy as well as an homage to their future as evolving artists.
This mural was made possible thanks to The Seventh Letter, Montana Colors, Branded Arts and the American Tea Room.
Hit the jump for a bunch of extra shots and a video and then stick with us to discover more fresh updates from the streets of New York City.

Coverage: Yarrow Slaps "Get This Power" Solo Exhibition @ Los Angeles' New Image Art Gallery
A few days ago, we stopped by New Image Art Gallery in Los Angeles to attend the opening of our buddy Yarrow Slaps "Get This Power", his first major solo exhibition.
After an exclusive sneak peek in his San Francisco studio, we were excited to discover his most recent body of work which includes large and small scale painting, installation, and photography depicting various niche hip-hop influences and urban ephemera.
Yarrow’s paintings have a cheeky upbeat appeal even when commenting on the social climate within today’s urban environment. His process imbues a “low-tech kitchen table aesthetic” that resonates with sophistication and naiveté. Building upon pre-existing SF creative culture, Yarrow Slaps continues to evolve artistically and present work that is both authentic and relevant.
Continue reading for more images and if you are in the area, the show will be running until June 10th at New Image Art, 7920 Santa Monica Blvd in West Hollywood, California 90046.
